Introduction

The International Congress on Natural Sciences with Sisterhood Universities (ICNS) was initiated in 2011 by Prof. Tae Hwa Kim (former Dean, College of Natural Sciences, Pukyong National University, Busan, Korea), Prof. Morimitsu Tanimoto (former Dean, Faculty of Science, Niigata University, Niigata, Japan) and Prof. Wen-Chun Hong (former Dean, College of Science, National Sun Yat-Sen University, Kaohsiung, Taiwan) to establish a forum for the exchange of academic resources among sisterhood universities.

The previous congresses were held in Busan (Korea, 2011), Kaohsiung (Taiwan, 2012), Niigata (Japan, 2013), and Changhua (Taiwan, 2015). A planned congress in 2020 had to be cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The congress resumed with ICNS 2024, which was held at Niigata University from September 26th to 28th, 2024.

With the approval of the International Organizing Committee, ICNS 2026 will be held at Naresuan University in Phitsanulok, Thailand, from September 27th to 29th, 2026.
